12.2.2024: It's beginning to 'smell' a lot like ... 🦠

Hello πŸ’—

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic day and felt extremely blessed!

This week we had a great lesson with Angel! The spirit was so strong during the lesson and we felt prompted to ask Angel to be baptized! So! He is praying about a date and if it is what God wants for him! Please keep Angel in your prayers πŸ™

We got to hang out with my favorite dementia grandma Rose Marie πŸŒΉ! It's so special to spend time with her because she really is so close to God right now as she nears the end of her life. She is such a joy and light to be around. She remembers songs and how to pray and that's about it! So we just sang Christmas carols and laughed with her for two hours! She always has great one liners like " You are so thick" and " Please bless our balls" and " We just don't know how to help you" and " Can you believe how big my backyard is?" Love her so much!

We also had the opportunity to help with hurricane clean up for a family in our church congregation. Their house was sitting in 6 feet of water for 5 weeks!!! Majorly gutted the place! The mold was so intense we were masked up even just standing outside cause the odor was so strong! But we were able to get it done! And I feel so grateful to be able to help them! Service really does bring so much joy! Lol--we had to rush to an appointment after and only had time to quickly change and rinse off... so we showed up and I'm not kidding--bugs flying around us cause we stunk so bad from the mold smell! πŸ˜·πŸ˜‚πŸ€’ Oops, sorry bout it! πŸ˜…

Spiritual Thought :
Mark 4:39

" Peace, be still. And the winds ceased, and there was a great calm."

This verse spoke to my soul this week. In our lives it's really easy to become overwhelmed with distractions, stress, holidays, school, etc. But I have seen God teaching me about the power of stillness. The strength that comes if we choose to take a moment to just - be still - with God. He wants to help us navigate the craziness of life, but oftentimes we don't stop long enough to allow Him to! I invite you each to take just 5 minutes out of your day to stop and intentionally sit in stillness with God. I promise that you will see Him calming the stormy winds of your life πŸ’—
