11.25.2024: πŸ’ vs πŸ”«

Sister Smith has arrived πŸ“–πŸ™

Hello πŸ’—

I hope everyone has had a fantastic week!

Ahh! I have no time! But I wanted to share a quick couple thoughts!

We've had a cold front of 60's this week πŸ₯Ά
BRRRR! Seriously not joking, it's been cold! But the sun is still shining so πŸ€©

This week we had transfers! My new companion's name is Sister Smith and she's awesome! We've seen so many miracles already!

We got to have our first lesson with the Griggs family this week! The dad is a member and his wife and daughter aren't.  But! They have all started coming to church and want to be baptized! I've learned so much from them and it's amazing to see them growing individually and as a family through the love of Jesus Christ and His gospel!

We went to "heart attack" this family's door for Thanksgiving and we were in the car getting ready to 'stealthily' go tape the hearts up and the son came out to the car! Apparently we were being anything but incognito! He thought we were burglars casing out the place πŸ˜‚Oops! Once he realized it was us, he started laughing and said "Oh, it's the Mormons! Guess I don't need my gun!"

Spiritual Thought :
Alma 34:38

38 "... take upon you the name of Christ; that ye humble yourselves even to the dust, and worship God, in whatsoever place ye may be in, in spirit and in truth; and that ye live in thanksgiving daily, for the many mercies and blessings which he doth bestow upon you."

I cannot believe this week is already Thanksgiving! I have always known the importance of gratitude.  But over the past couple weeks the powerful effect of gratitude has been reemphasized to me. As I've knelt in prayer and expressed to God everything on my heart and mind, I have felt impressed to pause and recall all that He has blessed/is blessing me with. As I have turned my thoughts to gratitude, I have felt almost instantaneous peace. And even though my questions/concerns might not be resolved immediately, my perspective and attitude has! Gratitude is healing! God blesses each and everyone of us immensely! It doesn't matter where you are in life, or in your relationship with God, you can still CHOOSE to see that He is blessing you daily! I invite you each to take the time to recognize and thank Heavenly Father for your countless blessings. I can promise that as you do, you will feel and see His love and presence greater in your life πŸ’—
