Hello
I hope everyone has had a great week!
This week we had two AMAZING lessons with Justin! The spirit was so strong both times we met with him and it is so powerful to get to learn alongside him! During one of our lessons, we talked about what happens to us after we die. We explained to him that we believe death isn't the end. That our spirits continue to live, and that we go to a place where we can continue to learn and grow our faith in Christ. Justin told us that his grandma died a couple years ago and that he has always felt his grandma was an angel watching over him. It was awesome to watch this truth resonate with him and the happiness it brought him knowing his grandma is still present.
Thank you for all the prayers for Justin! Keep praying for him please!
And for all of you who have or will deal with the hardship of losing someone you love, I want you to know that you will see your loved one again. And that death is a part of our Heavenly Father's beautiful plan. He really loves you and knows you. He sent His Son to overcome death and sorrow that when life's tragedies occur both physically and spiritually, He can guide us through.
On Thursday my comp wanted to go to Chipotle for dinner. So, we walk in and there's a bunch of people in costumes and at first I was so confused and then I realized it was Halloween! I'm standing in line and this guy in front of me (dressed as a bottle of Ranch) turns and says "So is this like a costume or...?"
I was like "Uhh no, this is for real life! I'm actually a missionary!" LOL
I was like "Uhh no, this is for real life! I'm actually a missionary!" LOLThen one of the workers asked me the same thing! So no, everyone this is NOT a costume!
For pday today we went to a LIVE mermaid show!!! Apparently it's a famous show that's been going on for years, but I'll just let the photos speak for themselves! And btw, I'll be starting this up when I'm home
Spiritual Thought :
“If all you know is what you see with your natural eyes and hear with your natural ears, then you will not know very much.”
- Boyd K. Packer
I found this quote in a talk that my dad shared with me. The quote powerfully states that we NEED to listen and seek the guidance and knowledge of our Savior! It is not enough to half heartedly look/hear. We must diligently search and listen and by doing so He will enlighten our understanding and provide us with the guidance we need. I invite each of you to evaluate how you've been listening and looking and to fortify your relationship with God!
I love you all! Have a FANTASTIC week!
