Hello πŸ’—

Wow! I cannot believe it's almost Christmas! I hope everyone is having a happy holiday season πŸ˜Š

We had our second lesson with the Griggs family!! They are so awesome! We talked with them about the beautiful plan that God has for each of us and how families are central to God's plan! We believe that families can be together forever through God. It's remarkable that God has created us to need each other! Sometimes we may feel like we don't need anyone else to help us, but God literally designed us to NEED each other! And to LOVE each other! We need love! God's two (3?) great commandments are to love God, and love ourselves and love everyone! Simply put, we are commanded to LOVE! I'm so grateful for my family and their love and support! And for the promise that I can be with them eternally through GodπŸ’–

Another heart attack story for ya - we went to decorate this lady's door and my comp tripped super loud on the front step and then the house had a musical Christmas door... so the second we got up there, it started blasting super loud music! So we RUSHED and stuck all the hearts on the door and then booked it out of there and we were jumping over bushes to get to the car fast and I just really hope she had a Ring camera and got to see the sister missionaries in panic mode, haha! Really just trying to get into that holiday spirit and embody Dasher and Prancer the reindeer, I guess. Enjoy that mental image πŸ˜πŸƒ‍♀️πŸ’¨

Sunday, as I was driving us home from church we passed three women on the side of the road with a sign asking for help. Usually we don't stop for homeless people, but after passing them I felt prompted to turn around and go give them some Book of Mormons. I didn't know what we were going to say, but I could feel God with us. As we walked up one woman began to cry, and we gave her a Book of Mormon and promised her that if she read it, God would get her out of her situation. As we spoke with her, a man pulled over and handed her $20! This was an immediate sign from God, and I could feel so strongly God's awareness of her and of each of us amidst our trials and challenges. We gave the grandma a Book of Mormon also; and it turns out that they used to be members of our church! The grandma kept kissing the Book of Mormon and holding it to her face in gratitude to God--it was so sweet.

He truly knows you and loves you and even when sometimes it may be harder to know/feel it, I promise that He is with you every step πŸ’—

Spiritual Thought :

2 Corinthians 12:10

" Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."

We each have our own struggles, challenges and pains. But this verse speaks a profound truth that through these trials we gain our strength! Without hardship we could never grow! We would be in a constant state of stagnation. And the reason we are able to learn strength is because of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Through His mercy we are given the gift to progress and change! I invite each of you to pray and ask God how you can see your trials helping you build strength. I promise that you will feel His strength and feel His arms of love πŸ’—

I love and miss you each!
